Trend Alert: Dark, Rich Hues and Texture

What’s hot in the wedding and decor world? Dark, rich hues and texture is a big trend for party and wedding decor.  As often happens, decor follows fashion trends, and this year and the coming year, is all about lots of luxurious details.  With the comeback of early 90’s fashion, comes velvet, lace, leather, suede, and really saturated colours and florals reminiscent of the late Baroque era (and chokers! but that does not apply to wedding decor;) There’s a lot of dark charcoal greys being used with contrasting pretty light feminine pinks, peaches and off whites. There’s also a lot of dark, rich reds and burgundy’s being used and contrary to what is commonly wedding appropriate – black.
